Jon began dancing at the age of six and instantly fell in love with the art form. Jon has studied dance for more than 24 years, participating in group and solo competitions for over 10 years. Jon train competitively for two local studios in styles such as: Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical and contemporary and Musical Theatre and achieved numerous awards including:

Jon's dance experience also includes judging for regional dance competitions throughout the country, teaching at dance camps, and choreographing dance routines for local high schools. He was the Choreographer for Stevenson High School Theatre productions for over nine years and has choreographed musicals such as “High School Musical” “Anything Goes” “Thoroughly Modern Millie” “Chicago” “Spamalot” and many more. Jon also choreographed for Oakland University Dance Team in 2013.
Jon graduated from Stevenson High School in 2004, during his high school experience Jon train with top convention instructors such as Robb Shultz, Judy Rice from Dance Masters of America Teachers Training School in New York, Bob Rizzo and Chabar Williams from West Cost Dance Explosion. Jon train at many different conventions during his high school career such as Star Power Dance Convention, LA Dance Magic, West Cost Dance Exposition and Urban Jamm.
In 2005, Jon completed his four-year of completion of Dance Masters of America Teacher Training School and is certify in Jazz, Ballet, and Lyrical. Over the years Jon has taught for many local studios in the metro Detroit area as well as coach many high schools dance team programs as well. In 2013, Jon felt it was time to start a new journey and create an All-Star program called, “The Movement Project” where dancers all around the metro Detroit could be apart of and share his talents. The Movement Project All-Stars has taken off and has received numerous awards such as national ranking in the co-ed division and many local awards receiving platinum and 1st overall at Dancers Inc. competition Jon also was awarded best choreography for his hip hop routine.
Jon loves to work with younger children, but also has a great interest in mentoring teens and adults. He hopes to instill in others his passion and love for the art of dance. Jon has been a dance instructor for over 18 years and cannot imagine his days without dance. Jon’s goal as a teacher is to help students continuously strives for success. Jon encourages all students to "never give up" and to work hard in order to reach their dreams, whether on stage or in other aspects of their lives.
